pretty former fisherman’s bothy
is just a quarter of a mile’s walk from the pinky golden sands
of Lunan Bay, named the best beach in Scotland in 2000. This quiet, sweeping
bay – the landing place of marauding vikings in 1010 – is
popular with surfers, horse riders and fishermen and is well-known for
its semi-precious stones and agates. This is also a great location for
birdwatching and walking. The Bothy is full of character thanks to its
exposed stone wall and timber floors and is a cosy cottage to enjoy all
year round thanks to the heating and wood-burning stove.
