The term ‘charm’ must have been coined for this marvellous little cottage! This tiny but spacious little stone built house with pantiled roof dates back to 1705 when it was a fisherman’s cottage in the ancient village of Kinghorn on the edge of the Firth of Forth. The ancient village of Kinghorn is recorded as far back as the 11th century when King Alexander is said to have fallen to his death from the cliffs whilst attempting to return to Kinghorn Castle in the dark.

The house, a grade B listed building, is in the conservation area of Kinghorn and whilst tiny this beautiful cottage has just received an extensive yet sympathetic renovation and is finished and furnished to a very high standard. There is plenty of space with each floor having one main room with the plain walls and exposed stone creating a cosy and ancient feel. There is an open fire in the main sitting room and stairs lead up to the surprisingly spacious bedroom where a touch of modernity in the form of a flatscreen TV is found.

Kinghorn has its own sandy beach as well as being near many other beaches including the award winning Aberdour and provides good access to the fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife and St Andrews. Edinburgh is across the Firth and a mere 40 minute drive or ½ hour train ride from the local train station that is only a ten minute walk past local shopping on the High Street. One of the finest Pub/Restaurant’s in all of Fife is located just steps away at the bottom of the road.
