In the heart of one of the prettiest glens in the Highlands, 20 miles up a romantic twisting single track road, lies Scardroy Farmhouse nestling in the hills with its view over Loch Beannacharain. As part of Scardroy estate, 10,000 acres of hill, river and loch will be your playground! You can take a boat out to trout fish on the loch or try your luck on the River Meig. There is also a topper sailing dingy for your use. There are challenging hills to climb or the flats leading to the waterfall below the house to explore, where you are sure to see red deer during your stay, and possibly eagles wheeling overhead.
The house feels rather like a mini shooting lodge with its antlers and sporting pictures on the walls. It is comfortably decorated and with its open fires in both the dining room and the sitting room is a cosy haven to come home to after an active day outdoors! The kitchen has a raeburn stove as well as a gas cooker and is extremely well stocked. With its wooden table and seating it is a relaxed place for breakfasts. All in all the Farmhouse is an idyllic setting for a family holiday.
